The visit was on 15 November 2025, to mark Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, which coincides with the 150th birth anniversary of tribal leader Birsa Munda.

Temple Visit

Before the main event, he visited and offered prayers at Devmogra Mata Temple (in Devmogra village).

Inaugurations & Foundation Stones

Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth over ₹9,700 crore.

These projects cover a wide range: infrastructure, health, education, tribal empowerment, heritage, transport.

Housing: Grih Pravesh for 100,000 houses under PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan) and DA-JAGUA (Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan).

42 Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) inaugurated or foundation-laid, for tribal students.

Community Centres: 228 Multi-Purpose Centres (MPCs) are planned / laid.

Modi flagged off 250 buses for 14 tribal districts in Gujarat.

Foundation for 748 km of new roads in tribal areas.

Tribal Multi-Marketing Centres (TMMCs): 14 centres will be built under DA-JAGUA to serve as community hubs.

Tribal Language & Heritage:

Shri Govind Guru Chair for Tribal Language Promotion was launched. This chair will work to preserve and study tribal dialects (Bhil, Gamit, Vasava, Garasia, Kokani, Santhal, Rathwa, Nayak, Dabla, Chaudhary, Kokna, Kumbhi, Warli, Dodia) and their songs and stories.

PM Modi specifically addressed sickle-cell disease, a major health challenge in tribal communities, and talked about increasing medical infrastructure (dispensaries, medical centres, hospitals) plus a national-level campaign.

The number of minor forest produce items has been increased from 20 to almost 100, and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for forest produce is increased.
